The Wyoming State Historical Records Advisory Board (Wyoming SHRAB) works to manage and preserve historical records in Wyoming.
Key functions include:
Developing a plan for historical records.
Assisting with grants.
Monitoring relevant laws.
Providing education on records management.
Promoting cooperation for record conservation and public access.
The Board has 9 to 15 Governor-appointed members, serving three-year terms. Most members must have experience with historical records. The State Coordinator, appointed by the Governor, leads the Board. Meetings are public and held as needed. The Department of State Parks and Cultural Resources handles finances. Bylaws can be amended with a two-thirds vote.Â
